Rob Arcari will take you through how to play the surdo de terceira. We will start with the basics and will look at how the standard part works in conjunction with the other instruments. Later we will move on to look at some variations and language, to make things a bit more interesting.

Ideally you’d have a terceira with a mallet or two to practice on, but this isn’t that likely eh? We can improvise and make do with what we have. One stick and a practice pad/pillow/book/etc to hit will be fine. You could even just tap your legs with your hands.
